Children’s Church at Faith
Led by our Children’s Minister, Miss Lilly, and a team of dedicated, background-checked volunteers
Starting February 2026: Changes to Children’s Ministry!
Starting February, Faith Lutheran Church is excited to announce that we will be making some changes to our Children’s Ministry based on the feedback provided by our Faith families:
- We will now be offering a Children’s church during each and every Sunday service!
- We will be adding special offerings for the older kids (ages 8-12) during each Children’s Church! This will include a ‘big kids’ table where they will read from an ‘adult’ Bible and experience a more complex, in-depth lesson.
- We will no longer be having a weekly Children’s Sermon during service. Now, all of the children’s education will be taking place within the Children’s Church environment- where the majority of the kiddos feel more comfortable asking questions and participating.
What to Expect
We begin with a welcoming circle time, where kids can settle in, connect, and greet any new friends. Then, we enjoy a healthy(ish!) snack while reading a story from our Children’s Bible-selected from the lectionary to align with what’s being shared upstairs in the sanctuary. Afterward, we dive into discussion, exploring how the story’s lessons apply to the children’s everyday life. We wrap up with a creative, hands-on craft or activity that ties into the day’s theme. Children then return to the sanctuary in time to join the congregation for the passing of the peace and Holy Communion!

The goal of Children’s Church is to provide the same message the adults are receiving in a way that is accessible to our youngest members! Through storytelling, hands-on activities, and open conversation, we seek to spark curiosity, nurture young faith, and help children feel at home in the life of the church!
