Faith Kitchen
We are called as Christians and as neighbors to help relieve suffering and to care for our sisters and brothers.
An ongoing program of the church (in partnership with Temple Beth Shalom) is Faith Kitchen, which has been cooking, serving, and sharing great meals for nearly twelve years. Sometimes local restaurants help.

Sanctuary Coalition
Since 2017, Faith Lutheran is part of a network of congregations and other groups working to protect and advocate for undocumented immigrants seeking legal status in our country. The network is called the Cambridge Interfaith Sanctuary Coalition.

Homeless Ministry
There are regular opportunities to get to know our neighbors on the street, through our partner ministries common cathedral and The Outdoor Church of Cambridge.
Every fourth Saturday of the month, a small group of us goes through Central and Harvard Squares in Cambridge to meet our unhoused neighbors, listen to their stories, and offer small assistance through food and supplies.
Several times a year, on an ad hoc basis, we also organize outings or events to serve the community in other ways. So far, we have had art shows, ice cream socials, and Easter Sunday worship on the street.

Sharing our space with the wider community
God has given us the gift of this building so that we can put it to work for God’s purpose. We love to make it available to the community for meetings, concerts, and community events.

Our building is home to three other congregations besides Faith Lutheran Church. Sometimes the congregations worship together, share programs, and have meals together. All help clean up the building and the yard in the spring and fall. The congregations are:

- Bisrat Wengel Eritrean Church
